Schemes
1.  Scheme of Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids/Appliances (ADIP Scheme):

The main objective of the Scheme in to assist needy disabled persons in procuring durable, sophisticated and scientifically manufactured, modern, standard aids and appliances that can promote their physical, social and psychological rehabilitation, by reducing the effects of disabilities and enhance their economic potential. The aids and appliances supplied under the Scheme shall conform to BIS specification to the extent possible.

2.  Scheme for Empowering Skilled Young Women - 2009:

The scheme aims at various welfare mesures for the socio-economic upliftment of women in the society

3.  Self-Employment Scheme for Ex-Servicemen:

The aim of SEMFEX-1 scheme is to encourage and assist eligible ex-Servicemen to take up self-employment service, ventures in tiny, small scale industry, small scale service and business [industry related] enterprises. Under the scheme, training in entrepreneurship is also provided to them facilitating success of the projects.

4.  State Self Employment Scheme:

Candidates are encouraged to start their own Employment Generating Units under Self Employment Schemes.

5.  Financing Schemes for Economic Upliftment of Weaker Sections:

The J&K SC,ST and BC Development Corporation undertakes a wide range of activities for socio-economic upliftment of the weaker section of the society belonging to scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes,Backward Classes,Scavengers and Minorities.

7.  Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme:

To generate employment opportunities in rural as well as urban areas of the country through setting up of new self-employment ventures/projects/micro enterprises.

8.  Rajiv Awas Yojana:

Bringing existing slums within the formal system and enabling them to avail of the same level of basic amenities as the rest of the town.

9.  Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA):

SSA is an attempt to provide human capabilities to all children through provision of community owned quality education as a Mission Mode Project.

10.  The National Service Scheme:

The National Service Scheme is a movement, a method and a programme to effectively involve teachers and students in making education socially relevant and using the system to transform society.

11.  Apprenticeship Scheme:

In order to provide on the job training to semi skilled workers and an opportunity to various kinds of workers to diversify their skills, it has been made obligatory for industries to engage apprentices.

12.  Janani Suraksha Yojna(JSY):

This Scheme is used for the benefit of delivery of mother who is poor and lives below Poverty Line (BPL)

13.  Swantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme:

A Central Scheme for the grant of Pension to freedom fighters and their eligible dependents was introduced by the Government of India

14.  Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme:

The Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme is provided to differently abled persons in the age group of 18 to 64 years, belonging to a household of Below Poverty Line category with severe or multiple disability as defined in ‘Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995 (PWD Act 1995)’ and the ‘National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act, 1999 (National Trust Act 1999)’. The Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India provides a sum of Rs. 200/- per month. In addition to this the State Government too grants an amount of Rs. 400/- per month, thus a beneficiary receives an amount of Rs. 600/- per month.

15.  Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar Yogna:

The basic objective of the ‘Mahatama Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana’ is to provide enhanced insurance cover to the handloom weavers in the case of natural as well as accidental death and in cases of total or partial disability.
